We Believe, We Care, We Learn

Homework goes home on a Monday. It should be returned to school by Friday. It can be returned earlier if all completed. Children are asked to hand their book in and record this by putting a tick next to their name on the Homework Tick-list.

Each child has a spelling list for the term. This will be in their homework book but can also be accessed on Room 4's Webpage.  We will do a pretest for these words on Monday and the results for their spelling test will be recorded in their Friday Book at the end of the week.

Children are expected to read each day at home. About 15 - 20 minutes is a reasonable amount of time for children of this age. The children are expected to take home their reading book from school to share at home.  I would encourage children to have access to their own reading material (library book, interest or hobbies book, chapter book) and read from this daily as well.

We will have a Friday Book, Homework Book and a Handwriting Book but all other subjects are going to be completed in one book called our Work Book.  These will be sent home through the year as they are completed so that you can see the ongoing progress of your child.

Class Dojo

Class Dojo is a fun interactive website I use to encourage and reward great choices in behaviour and in work effort.  The children can watch their points grow throughout the week by viewing their online character (which represents themselves).

Thank you.
