Special Character

The Special Character of the school is reflected in the teaching and practice of the Religious Education Programme and in all areas of school life.

Religious Education Programme

It is the belief of St Bernadette's school that the home nurtures, witnesses to, celebrates and develops faith in God. The School supports the family - whanau and parish by teaching the Religious Education Programme.

School Mass

The school celebrates Mass at the beginning or end of each term. Parents are invited to attend.

Class Mass

During the term classes attend Mass. The theme of the Mass reflects class work and is planned with the Parish Priest. Parents are invited to attend.

Prayer Assembly

Each Friday a class leads this assembly by sharing their class work. All parents are welcome to attend. Time: 9.10am. Place: Hall.

Sacramental Programme

The Sacramental Programme for Reconciliation, Confirmation and Eucharist are parish based. The school supports the family - whanau and parish within the Religious Education programme.
