History
The School was established in 1935 and reflects strong Catholic traditions
built up over sixty years of parish life. The School was originally staffed by
the Sisters of Mercy and the spirit they strove to pass on to the pupils has
been maintained and continues to grow. In 1997 the Sisters celebrated 100 years
in the Dunedin Diocese.
Location
St Bernadette's
school is located within the St Bernadette’s
Church grounds and caters predominantly for children in the parish from St
Clair, St Kilda, Caversham and Corstorphine areas. In addition to Forbury
parishioners, there are a small number of children from other parishes and
non-preferential pupils.
